Evidence Unit
The Evidence Unit of the Hope Mills Police Department secures and holds recovered property until it is available for release. There is a 180 day policy for property pickup for items unrelated to weapons or the property will be marked for destruction.

Property can be picked up between Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Records
The Police Records Office is located in the front lobby of the Hope Mills Police Department at 5788 Rockfish Road Hope Mills, NC. The normal hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, closed on Holidays. The Records Division handles public requests for Accident and Incident Reports.

There is a $10 Fee for all Reports, which must be obtained in person. The fee can be paid via credit card, debit, or cash only.
Electronic Fingerprints are also available to the public. The schedule for Finger Printing is as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 9am until 12pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 1pm until 3pm
Note: Livescan Fingerprints Only. These fingerprints are submitted electronically. All paperwork must be provided before fingerprinting is completed. A Fee of $15.00 must be paid for this Service. (Fee payable by cash, debit, or credit card only.)

NOTE: Our agency does not complete background checks for the public. Any background checks would need to be submitted to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department or via the Cumberland County Clerk of Court Office.
