Team Purpose
The Hope Mills Special Operations Team was organized in 1993 to respond to water-related emergencies and underwater search and recovery within the Town of Hope Mills.
As the teams’ reputation for excellence grew, requests came in from all over state for the team’s expertise; which allowed them to work with federal, state, and local agencies such as FEMA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), North Carolina Crime Control and Public Safety as well as the states emergency management division.
