Safety Message

 On Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 01:07 hrs.   The Hope Mills Fire Department responded to 4131 Pecan Drive to assist the Cotton Vol. Fire Department with a residential structure fire with possible life hazards.  When the first units arrived on-scene, they reported "heavey fire showing".  Although firefighters entered the structure and found three occupants, it was to late.  Unfortunately this incident took the life of a heroic father and two little girls; the wife/mother being the sole survivor.

In response to this tragic event, there has been an outpouring of support and donations for the Cantrell family.  The Hope Mills Fire Department has received numerous inquiries about where to send material and monitary donations.  The Hope Mills Area Chamber of Commerce has instituted a way for those who wish to show their concern to donate.  Anyone interested can contact this organization at the following:
