Maxey is originally from Hope Mills, NC. He has worked in Municipal Government in the Parks & Recreation field since 2001 & has been with the Town since 2006. As Athletic Manager, Maxey brought prior experience to this position from his time spent as Athletic Coordinator with Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation. He also is a former NCHSAA official. Maxey enjoys serving the community he grew up in. When it comes to the Parks & Recreation field, what he likes is the ability to get people involved in organized activities that teach & promote life skills & healthy competition. When Maxey isn’t at work, he may be traveling, riding his motorcycle & when the weather permits, being on the water by boat or sport.
