Captain Rolland is a Hope Mills native, graduating from South View High School in 2000. Captain Rolland started his law enforcement career in Spring Lake North Carolina in 2004 before coming to the Hope Mills Police Department in 2009. He started as a patrol officer, then transferred over to the Community and Traffic Division in 2012. He then returned to patrol and was promoted to Sergeant in 2020 where he worked until early 2023 when he took over as the Sergeant over the Operations Support Division until his promotion to Lieutenant in January of 2024 as the Patrol Watch Commander.
Captain Rolland has countless hours of training over his 21 years in the career, including Supervision, Crash Investigation, Community relations, General Instructor and is currently in the West Point Leadership Program. He is a Community Officer at heart and loves interacting with the public.
